IT Product owner (business process HR) (m/f/d)

Locations: Croatia (Zagreb) preferably


The Product Owner IT (business process HR) position combines fields of IT and HR. As the Product Owner IT you will have to understand the needs of HR to the smallest element. Your main task will be to be innovative and bring the processes in the HR department to the next level. Key responsibilities

  • Understanding of not only the needs but also motivation behind the needs in HR
  • Recommendation of innovation, improvements and changes.
  • Acting as an ambassador of HR within IT team.
  • Partnering and Interfacing with the business process owner (forming of the product team).
  • Manage projects and continuous development of the HR IT-product and application landscape.
  • Co-managing the projects together with the Marketing and Senior HRIS Analyst 
  • Acting as the channel connecting all relevant IT stakeholders and Information Security.
  • Interfacing (Requirements translation) and Coordination of needed IT-staff.
  • Translation of business requirements into IT-specifications and user-stories.
  • Lead any continuous improvement and further development of the product.
  • Maintaining awareness of current trends in the HR product/application area.
  • Development of the product roadmap together with the Senior HRIS Analyst 
  • Requirements Analysis and Documentation.
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog.
  • Ensure the system runs as defined and all interfaces are considered.
  • Leading the interface with any external partners for the systems.
  • Delivery of the product based on SLAs (daily operation)
  • Sharing the accountability of SLAs definition together with Marketing and Sales.
  • Create technical RICEFW specifications and concepts for IT realization  
  • Ensure IT operation support

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification PMI / IMPI, advantage
  • Certification IT service management ITIL, advantage
  • Product and Project Management of IT projects
  • Product and application knowledge in the HR business process area,
  • Implementation experience with Success Factors, advantage
  • Configuration experience with SAP payroll, advantage
  • English level B2 minimum in spoken and written language
  • 5 years of experience
  • minimum 2 years of experience in similar role
