Senior Controller

Vetropack Group is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of glass packaging for the food and beverage industry with around 4,000 employees. Vetropack has state-of-the-art production facilities as well as sales and distribution offices in Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, and Romania.
Now we are currently seeking a Senior Controller to join our team in Chisinau and take management of the Controlling Section.

Main Responsibilities

• Profitability Margin calculation and analysis by articles
• Computation of models for optimization of the product costing
• Regular cost committee conducting. Budget control platform
• Monitoring of performance indicators, analysis of the reasons for possible deviations
• Consolidation of Investment initiatives from all departments
• Communication with other functional managers, clarification of deviations
• Analysis of Raw materials and their valuation
• Coordinate the CAPEX process according to the budget and internal policies
• Support the monthly closing process by performing specific system tasks
• Preparation of presentations for local Management and the Group and support with analysis the strategic priorities of the company
• Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive and as requested basis
• Monitor the progress of projects to ensure that deadlines are met, and objectives are achieved
• Support the strategic and financial development of the organizational support team during the annual planning and half yearly reforecast processes
• Continually seeking to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls
• Team management of the Controlling Section employees
• Leading, mentoring, and providing clear guidance to Controllers
• Ensure that all staff understand and are empowered to perform their roles
• Provide leadership and technical support as needed, and evaluate performance assessment
• Group support projects

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, ideally Finance & Accounting
• Proven working experience as a Finance Controller
• 5+ years of successful financial experience in production environment
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills / SAP is an advantage
• Familiar with general accounting principles
• Knowledge of standard business processes, typical for production environments
• Experience with BI and consolidation systems is preferable
• Ability to derive and merge data from different sources for analysis
• Excellent English skills both spoken and written
• Collaborative and relationship-led approach. Results oriented
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Willingness to irregular group-wide travel up to 10%
