Internal Logistics Supervisor

We're seeking a leader who is organized and detail-oriented to manage a team of forklifts drivers and technological transport including railway under one umbrella. Key responsibilities

• Resource Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule internal resources, including forklifts, bucket-lifters, and railway drivers, based on internal demand. Monitor and track vehicle and driver performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Railway Assets Maintenance: Oversee and perform maintenance on railway assets to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Training and Supervision: Train and supervise transport staff, including forklift drivers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and policies. Maintain a strong focus on safety across all logistics activities.
• Performance Evaluation: Regularly evaluate transport performance and efficiency, implementing improvements as needed to enhance overall logistics operations.
• Cost Monitoring: Monitor and report on transportation costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and increased efficiency.
• Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report maintenance and repair needs for all transportation vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely resolution.
• Policy and Legislation Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with company policies and relevant shipping legislation, maintaining a high standard of operational integrity.

Requirements

• Degree in Transportation/Logistics field strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in a logistics or warehouse supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Forklift operator certification is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to prioritaze tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• PC literacy - MS Excel, Office.
• English language - preferable A2 level.
