Position overview:

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to play a crucial role in our financial reporting processes. This position will be responsible for both management reporting, providing key financial insights to internal stakeholders, and local reporting, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Management Reporting:

• Participate in preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the unit.
• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Analyse financial performance and key metrics, identifying trends and variances versus budgeted scenarios for major lines of the financial statements.
• Prepare ad-hoc insightful management reports and presentations, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse financial data.

Local Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in accordance with local accounting standards in collaboration with the third-party provider.
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory financial statements and other required filings to regulatory authorities.
• Assist in internal and external audits. 

Additional duties: 

• Support Finance Manager in the daily tasks related to the cooperation with other functions.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting.
• Strong understanding of local accounting standards and IFRS, Swiss GAP is a plus.
• Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including ratio analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting software (SAP is a plus).
• Fluent in Romanian and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Industry experience relevant to the company's sector.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CIMA.
