IT Engineer

Objectives of the position 

The IT Engineer at Vetropack plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. This position ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, supporting the company's mission to innovate and excel in the glass packaging industry. 

 Main tasks 

• Infrastructure management: Design, implement, and maintain IT & OT infrastructure components across on-premises and cloud environments.
•  Project management: Take ownership of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
•  Consulting: Offer practical guidance and support to internal teams on infrastructure-related topics.
•  Security: Maintain security and compliance of all IT systems in line with industry standards and company policies.
•  Logging & Monitoring: Build and manage solutions for logging and monitoring to keep systems healthy and performing well.
•  Local IT Support: Provide advanced IT support at the local site, following ITIL principles, to ensure high user satisfaction.
•  IT architecture: Design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure solutions that align with business needs.
•  Documentation: Keep clear and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures for consistency and future reference.

• Technologies: Solid experience with IT & OT infrastructure technologies and the tools commonly used to manage them IT architecture: Strong understanding of IT architecture principles and how to apply best practices in real-world scenarios.
• Teamwork: Comfortable working closely with different teams and departments to reach shared objectives. 
• Project management: Proven ability to plan, lead, and deliver IT infrastructure projects on time and within scope 

Consulting skills

• Skilled at providing practical advice and support to internal stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions. 
• Leadership: Capable of guiding and mentoring junior IT team members, offering support and sharing knowledge. 
• Critical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex infrastructure challenges effectively. 
• Attention to detail: Committed to accuracy in system configurations and documentation to maintain high standards of service. 
• Collaboration: A team-oriented approach with a focus on clear communication and achieving common goal 

IT-skills

• System Administration certification (MCSA)  
• Administration of a Virtualization Environment (VMware, other) 
• ITIL certification for IT service management 
•  Microsoft M365 (MS Teams, Entra, Azure, Sharepoint Online, ...)
• Strong knowledge in various IT areas and OT environment 
• Automation skills (PowerShell, Power Automate, other)
