Head of Human Resources (m/f/d)

We are in search of a highly accomplished and experienced Head of Human Resources to join our team at Vetropack Italia at our new location Boffalora sopra Ticino. In this strategic role as Head of HR you will manage the HR department and its functions, ensuring they are aligned with the company's policies and goals. Collaborating closely with the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in people development, implementing best HR practices, and providing guidance and leadership in all HR related areas.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in HR management, preferably in a multinational industrial company. You should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A deep understanding of HR best practices, as well as experience in recruitment, talent management, HR operation and legal, will be essential.

Key responsibilities

 

Talent Attraction and Acquisition: Develop recruitment strategies in alignment with Group Talent Acquisition. Recruit and ensure all the recruitments are done according to a plan, existing standards, conducted in a professional manner and done in efficient way within the given budget.

 

Talent Management: Responsible that adequate succession plans are in place, identifying successors and deputies, within the respective organizational scope. Take the responsibility for implementation of the planned development activities, in accordance with corporate HR. Report on the progress and participate actively in improvement of activities.

 

Learning & Development: Develop and implement learning and development strategies aligned with organizational goals and standards. Identify training needs, deliver and monitor effective training programs. Evaluate program effectiveness and track employee skill development.

 

Total Compensation: Provide strategic advice to the Business on rewards strategies encompassing salaries, bonuses, and benefits, ensuring alignment with group policies and objectives.

 

Performance Management: Ensure that the appraisal process is completed across all departments and work with the HR Managers to review and report to the Management. To ensure that all agreed action from appraisals which are within the remit of HR are completed in a timely way, particularly learning and development objectives

 

Employee Relations: Provide guidance and leadership in handling employee relations issues effectively, serving as a role model for best practices. Manage sensitive employee relations matters discreetly and with a sense of urgency, ensuring resolution in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

 

Relations to work council: Manage and nurture the ongoing relationship with works councils, fostering open communication and collaboration. Negotiate and administer works council agreements and employment agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

 

 

The Successful Candidate

  • Proven experience in HR management, especially in HR operations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices and current industry trends.
  • Strong experience in recruitment, talent management, HR operations and legal
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and legal compliance requirements.
  • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement

 

 

Requirements

  • Honours degree in social area or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in HR
  • 5-7 years working in similar role in manufacturing industry
  • English level C1 minimum in spoken and written language
  • Experience managing legal matters is an advantage.
