Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager who is responsible for leading and managing complex projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

This position plays a key role in driving strategic transformation initiatives, including a major S/4 RISE migration from an existing S/4 on‑premise landscape, followed by broader business transformation programs and the ongoing evolution of our modern enterprise application landscape (e.g. Salesforce, SuccessFactors, Anaplan, M365 and Agentic AI).

The role balances scope, cost, timelines, and quality, challenges priorities and solution designs, mentors junior project managers, and continuously improves project delivery capabilities across the organization.

Your tasks

• Lead end‑to‑end project and program delivery, from planning and scope definition to implementation, value realization and handover into operations
• Assume responsibility for a strategic SAP S/4 RISE migration (from S/4 on‑premise), including governance, planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment
• Drive and coordinate adjacent business transformation initiatives following the S/4 RISE migration, supporting the further development of a modern enterprise application landscape (e.g. Salesforce, SuccessFactors, Anaplan)
• Own business outcomes, ensuring measurable value through defined KPIs such as ROI, efficiency gains, quality and user adoption
• Steer scope, priorities, and trade‑offs based on business value, while managing risks, budgets, resources and timelines
• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams, providing direction, support and mentoring to junior project managers
• Manage senior stakeholders and governance, including executive steering committees, conflicting interests and decision forums
• Drive transparency and clarity, through structured reporting, progress tracking, issue resolution and clear documentation
• Continuously improving project management practices, tools and standards to enhance delivery effectiveness and sustainability

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the food & packaging or manufacturing environment
• Strong background in project and program delivery, with a focus on value realization and operational readiness
• A previous business or management consulting experience, enabling you to effectively solve probems and quickly address complex business challenges, is considered a valuable complement to the project management skills
• Experience with leading SAP S/4 RISE migrations or similar transformative programs is a strong plus
• Exposure to or experience with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, SuccessFactors, and Anaplan is advantageous.
• Initial leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and guiding teams is a plus
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• A confident and engaging communication style, combined with a cooperative, reliable and flexible mindset
