IT Application Consultant

We are looking for an IT Business Partner for Finance & Controlling to join our Digital Enterprise team and act as a strategic advisor and single point of contact for our Finance organization. In this role, you will shape, structure and drive digital initiatives, ensuring that business needs are translated into impactful solutions. You will be working right at the intersection of Finance & Controlling, IT and Digital Transformation. Your Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Consulting

• Build strong relationships with Finance leadership and key stakeholders
• Challenge and refine business requirements
• Identify digital opportunities and support strategic decision-making

Demand & Portfolio Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of business demands (intake, prioritization, governance)
• Evaluate initiatives based on business value, cost and strategic fit
• Support the creation of business cases and investment decisions
• Application Portfolio Management and roadmapping

Project & Initiative Orchestration

• Structure and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
• Define scope, milestones and deliverables
• Track progress, risks and dependencies
• Ensure alignment between business, IT and delivery teams

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Controlling or finance-related IT roles
• Proven track record in project coordination or consulting roles
• Understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP FI/CO) and financial tools
• Solid knowledge of financial processes (R2R, P2P, P2C)
• Ability to translate business needs into structured initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills across business and IT
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
