Group Controlling Manager

We would like to announce a job opportunity for the position of Group Controlling Manager at Vetropack Group.

 

Position overview:

The Group Controlling Manager ensures the effective implementation and enhancement of the controlling framework, tools, and processes across the organization. This role focuses on developing and extending group-wide controlling tools to meet the diverse information needs of process owners and maintaining consistent group standard reports. The manager plans, schedules, and oversees the planning and forecasting processes at the group level, ensuring alignment of action plans between group functions and their implementation at the business unit level. A key purpose of the role is to provide strategic support by preparing scenario-based planning options and proposing planning targets aligned with the group’s strategy.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Controlling Manual and business processes, ensuring they are effectively applied across the organization.
  • Develop and expand group-wide controlling tools to meet the diverse information needs of various process owners.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in group standard reports, aligning them with established group guidelines.
  • Oversee the planning and forecasting processes at the group level, coordinating to ensure action plans are aligned across functions and cascaded to business units.
  • Prepare scenario-based planning options and propose targets that align with the group strategy, providing clear guidance for the planning process.
  • Support local controlling teams in analyzing actual vs. planned deviations and assist in the development of corrective action plans.
  • Ensure proper staffing at plant sites and facilitate group support in addressing any vacancies.
  • Plan and co-moderate FI/CO group meetings, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
  • Coordinate closely with the Group Reporting and Tax Manager to ensure seamless financial and tax-related processes.

 

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance
  • At least 10 years of experience in controlling
  • Background in an industrial company
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in English and German language skills
  • Experience working in an international company and matrix organization
  • Availability to travel up to 15%

 

Successful candidate

  • Extensive experience in senior stakeholder management with a strong ability to understand and address their needs.
  • Solid background in handling intercompany topics, including transfer pricing and product
  • A results-driven and challenging mindset, consistently pushing the company to improve performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated capability in selecting, leading, and developing the right team to achieve business goals and drive success.
